Editorial Has potential
Sayoko captures players with its pixel-art summer romance and character-driven storytelling—those who finish praise the narrative and emotional payoff. However, the current build is plagued by persistent bugs that block progression: black screens, sprite-loading errors, and crashes during key events (especially around July 15th and the gym storage scene) are reported across multiple save files and platforms. Several players report these issues resolve themselves after restarting or reverting saves, but others hit hard stops. The dev appears inactive or deceased (per community notes), leaving bugs unfixed. If you can tolerate troubleshooting and save-scumming, there's a solid game underneath; if you want a smooth first playthrough, wait for a patch that may never come.
