Editorial Has potential
Rune Sovereign is an early-stage fantasy corruption game with a compelling premise: an ancient sorcerer awakens after millennia to rebuild influence in a world that has forgotten him. Community response is cautiously optimistic about the concept and scope, but the current build shows real rough edges. Proofreading and grammar errors are consistent complaints, especially in early content; rendering artifacts during animations and generic post-processing on character models are also noted. The developer has acknowledged the sloppiness and is working through it, but these issues remain distracting right now. Despite the technical fumbles, players appreciate the slow-burn narrative direction, the art direction (camera work and posing), and the amount of content in this initial release. Feedback is split mainly on taste: some want more visual progression of corruption, others worry about grind or want reassurance the MC won't become a one-dimensional villain. The dev is responsive and seems genuinely engaged, though recent personal demands have slowed updates. For players willing to overlook an unpolished first draft, there is something worth watching here.
