Editorial Has potential
Roundscape Adorevia is an ambitious RPG Maker game that swings wildly between strong creative vision and significant technical rough edges. Its core appeal is solid: a branching fantasy narrative with real moral choice, diverse romance/sexual content across multiple routes, deep RPG mechanics (character building, castle management, corruption system), and genuinely well-written companion quests—especially for players who want genuine story alongside adult content. Many players praise it as a rare balance of 'actual RPG' and 'actual erotic game,' with 40+ hours of content and high replayability. However, the build is visibly unfinished despite its 'complete' status. Quest log is broken (many side quests missing entirely), map navigation is unreliable, tutorial is nearly nonexistent, and tutorials exist for forge mechanics but not lockpicking or combat fundamentals. Performance problems include soft-locks, bugged NPC interactions, placeholder text, spelling errors, and progression blockers (players unable to finish starting-area quests). Art is inconsistent—mix of hand-drawn, AI, and older CG that jars the immersion. The interface is clunky and unintuitive (no fullscreen toggle, confusing menus, unclear stat effects). Most damaging: story pacing collapses in Act 3, final boss encounters feel rushed, and some content feels cut mid-development. Playable, but requires patience and often a guide to avoid getting lost or softlocked. A labor-of-love game held back by its own scope and dev fatigue.
