Editorial Has potential
REC is a niche adult game about nighttime encounters with a sleeping character, built around progression systems (stamina, body stats, suspicion) and various minigames (running, cooking, retail work). Community feedback is overwhelmingly positive about the creative direction and recent updates—players praise the developer's responsiveness and note that pacing improved significantly after the Proficiency Skill Update. However, the game suffers from persistent usability and technical friction: Android players report recurring bugs with item-grabbing and sexual features not working as intended; PC players encounter animation locks and clothing-reset failures; the UI is cryptic (coin values, upgrade purposes, and interaction mechanics are unclear without external wikis or patient trial-and-error), leading to dozens of basic how-to questions that should be answered in-game. The build is playable and content-complete, but rough edges in interaction design and platform-specific bugs undermine an otherwise engaging experience.
