Read Receipts is a narrative game set in a long-distance relationship. You proposed to your shy, nerdy fiancée the night before moving 400 km away for an internship. Now she exists primarily through your phone—her messages, social streams, and photos. As you read her communications and choose how to respond, your decisions shape her transformation and the relationship's direction. The game features multiple branching routes including sharing, cheating, faithful, and sorority paths, each with distinct outcomes. Your choices determine whether you'll share her with others, lose her, or maintain your bond, while the story unfolds through a phone interface that includes texts, her live stream, social feeds, and a couples' app.
