Project Dreadsteel

Project Dreadsteel is an adult visual novel and stat-driven RPG inspired by mecha anime such as Evangelion, Gurren-Lagann, and Armored Core, blending superpowers with intimate character relationships. You play as Janus Mildred, a grief-stricken young man who receives an unexpected invitation to the Kyoto Research Institute (KRI), a mysterious organization researching "Ether"—a supernatural power. There you join a diverse international team of fellow Ether-Users, each with their own secrets, traumas, and strengths. The game uses a Schedule System allowing you to train and bond with companions, unlocking character events and relationship progression. Combat and stat checks influence narrative outcomes, though combat mechanics are still in development. The core experience centers on navigating moral choices, deepening relationships, and uncovering the truth behind KRI while your team faces dangerous missions. The narrative explores themes of grief, purpose, and humanity in a dark sci-fi setting where your choices will test your character and potentially shape the world around you.
