Pleasure Drive is an abandoned racing game with active gameplay that earned genuine appreciation for its mechanics and progression before development suddenly halted. The core game—missions, races, character interactions—was solid enough that players who experienced it call it "good" and "one of the best games" they'd played in years. However, the project imploded when payment processors delisted it from itch.io, and the developer chose to stop work entirely rather than continue on Patreon (where most income was already flowing). Community sentiment is divided: some view this as a reasonable business decision given the shock, while others see it as abandonment without even a final patch or proper ending—a betrayal of Patreon supporters who were paying monthly.
