Description
A philosophical email-reading adventure game set in the world of 'serial experiments lain.' You play as a roboticist at Tachibana General Research Institute who receives mysterious emails from Iwakura Lain, supposedly dead. Through sparse email correspondence, Lain requests that you construct an artificial body for her father while engaging you in abstract dialogue spanning Wittgenstein's language philosophy, AI hallucination, Merleau-Ponty's phenomenology of the body, and questions of consciousness itself. As the correspondence deepens, the boundary between physical reality and the digital 'Wired' grows increasingly blurred, and you must choose whether to remain tethered to material existence or abandon your body to follow Lain into the networked realm. The game unfolds through a simulated Wired OS interface, creating a cold, immersive desktop environment where philosophy and science fiction converge.
