Editorial Meh
Paradise Lust 2 is a technically solid continuation that struggles under the weight of its predecessor's success. The art, humor, and character charm remain strong—new cast members are particularly appealing, and the resort-building narrative is a natural evolution—but the game ships with roughly half the sexual content and significantly fewer side mechanics (night visits, affection meters, collectibles) that gave the first game its depth. Many returning characters are sidelined or appear only briefly despite plot threads suggesting larger roles, and several fan favorites from part one are absent entirely. Mini-games, while present, are less varied and more tedious than before. The consensus is clear: for those who loved the original's abundance, this feels like a stripped-down expansion rather than a full sequel, and the early announcement of a third game has fueled suspicion the series is being milked rather than carefully crafted. Worth playing if you accept it as a leaner, more linear visual-novel-focused follow-up; a poor value at full price.
