Paper Masks is a character-driven narrative game set in the luxurious but secretive Woods household. You assume a false identity to escape your past and take a job with the wealthy family, with a simple survival plan: remain quiet, useful, and hidden. That plan unravels when you encounter Max Woods, a clever and perceptive family member who becomes simultaneously your greatest threat and unexpected ally. As the summer unfolds, you navigate household secrets, power dynamics, and an intensifying, dangerous attraction with Max while trying to keep your cover intact and uncover the truth about their guarded past. The game explores themes of deception, manipulation, obsession, and the collapsing boundary between mask and identity—examining what happens when secrets are exposed and trust fractures under pressure. Features include a customizable protagonist (male or female), branching choices that shape the narrative outcome, and original artwork. The game contains mature content including depictions of sexual violence, non-consensual acts, abuse, trauma, self-harm, and psychological manipulation as integral parts of the story.
