Editorial Has potential
Our Fathers' Sins is an early-stage adult VN built in Unity, currently at v0.4 with a premise centered on relationships with a mother and daughter (customizable as step-relations). Community consensus leans positive on creative direction—players appreciate the branching relationship mechanics, D&D-style character building affecting outcomes, and the promise of expandable content—but the build itself is rough. Save/load functionality is broken or unreliable across multiple scenes; dialogue often won't respond after loading; fullscreen toggle persists despite being unchecked; and text rendering glitches occur on reload. The developer is transparent about these being mid-development issues and commits to fixes in the next 1–2 releases, but right now, exploration requires patience. One recurring note: the mother character reads as too young for the "milf" fantasy some expected, a matter of taste rather than quality. For players willing to tolerate stability issues in exchange for mechanical depth and relationship-focused gameplay, there's potential here; for others, waiting for a more stable build is the safer call.
