Editorial Don't bother
Obnulenie is a passion project with genuine atmosphere and a memorable soundtrack, but it's fundamentally broken in ways that make it unplayable for most. The control scheme is unresponsive tank-based movement with no camera control; hitboxes are unreliable; and combat feels like a stat-check rather than a skill test. Difficulty spikes are severe and poorly balanced—early areas kill in two hits while offering no clear progression path, and the final boss can freeze mid-fight with no way to proceed. The NSFW content is minimal, AI-generated, and disconnected from gameplay. Technical crashes are common, especially near fire effects and in the swamp area. What saves it from complete dismissal is that some players with patience found the core loop tolerable after adaptation, and the visual filter, soundtrack, and worldbuilding show real intent. For a €1 discounted game made by a first-time developer, there is ambition here—but the execution is too rough and the gameplay too frustrating to recommend unless you are specifically hunting for broken, atmospheric indie oddities.
