Netorase Phone: Iris positions itself as a consensual hotwifing game with mutual respect, but execution is uneven. The core creative tension—whether the MC truly has agency in a relationship dynamic built on relinquishing control—divides players; some find this nuance compelling, others feel the girlfriend's choices override stated boundaries (notably the lingerie gift scene), undermining the promised "mutual consent" premise. Writing is serviceable but formulaic, with Le Stag's signature style occasionally breaking immersion. Art is competent. The bigger problem is technical: pronoun and flag tracking are broken, causing the game to forget the MC's gender mid-scene on the lesbian route, forcing uncomfortable male dialogue onto a female player character. This isn't a minor quirk—it ruins the illusion repeatedly and suggests the biological-female option was not properly implemented. The game is playable and has fans, but these bugs and the unresolved creative friction over consent mechanics make it a rough, unfinished work that needs serious revision before it's ready.
