My State Sponsored Catgirl

Editorial Meh

My State Sponsored Catgirl is a Ren'Py adult game centered on vanilla encounters with a catgirl character, drawing players who explicitly want content free of NTR or infidelity. The work uses AI-generated imagery throughout, which divides the community—some appreciate the aesthetic polish and effort put into prompting, while others dismiss it outright as "AI slop." The core creative experience itself receives limited direct commentary; most feedback orbits around features, paywalls, and the technical state rather than whether the narrative or character writing succeeds. Opinion on the game's creative merit is sparse and shallow. The build has a real technical problem: a repeating inventory crash (KeyError: 'sweater') that forces old saves to be abandoned and new games restarted, confirmed by multiple users on recent versions. Android has reported startup crashes. The free version is significantly outdated (v0.95 vs. v1.15+ on Patreon), the paywall is aggressive, and many core features remain locked. For those able to launch and play, the game appears stable enough, but this save-corruption trap and version fragmentation push the current build firmly into rough territory.
