Editorial Has potential
My Phone is Corrupted is a phone-interface visual novel that players widely praise for its writing, character development, and branching narrative—choices genuinely alter Julia's personality and story outcomes across multiple paths. The creative work is strong: realistic portrayal of coercion, nuanced character arcs, and thoughtful use of in-game apps (camera, video, messaging) as narrative tools. However, the current build suffers from rough UI friction. Messaging requires repeated clicking (send-button spam) that players find tedious despite a fast-typing mode; the thought-bubble pop-ups overlap dialogue before it can be read; app-switching feels cumbersome. These are not game-breaking bugs—most players complete the game—but they create friction in an otherwise well-crafted experience. A small subset encountered crashes (mostly resolved by graphics renderer tweaks or reinstalls), suggesting platform/configuration sensitivity rather than systemic failure. Community consensus: the story and design merit engagement, but QoL polish is needed before the next major update.
