Editorial Meh
My New Life is the sixth entry in Bob's (Celavie Group) long-running series, and it carries both the strengths and the frustrations fans have come to expect. The renders and female models are widely praised as beautiful, and the slow-burn style has a devoted following. That said, the most vocal criticism — repeated across multiple experienced reviewers — is that the gameplay loop has grown stale and overly grindy: progression requires skipping through days to hit narrow time-window triggers, scenes are recycled with only one new render added per cycle, and the hint system has a history of misfiring. Several reviewers describe the game as feeling like uninspired copy-paste of its predecessors, with little structural evolution across the series. On the technical side, an animation glitch in one scene affects some players, and Android users report very poor performance, though the game appears functional on PC. The overall picture is a niche slow-burn game with genuinely appealing visuals but a grinding design philosophy that even longtime fans are growing tired of — worth trying if you already enjoy the series format, but unlikely to win over anyone the previous entries didn't.
