Editorial Meh
My Goddess opens with strong character designs and an intriguing premise that draws players back, but the writing itself needs serious work. Dialogue feels unnatural and stilted—people simply don't talk this way—and basic narrative logic stumbles early (a landlady failing to introduce a returning tenant to a housemate after 18 years strains credibility). The game includes NTR content in its prologue; the dev frames this as setup rather than explicit, but it's a known dealbreaker for a vocal portion of the audience. Those who accept the content direction praise the character designs and plot hooks; those who don't are already gone. Technical readiness is solid for a v0.07 release, and the dev has been transparent about planned improvements (relation customization, optimization, and a universal translation toolkit). The core creative problem—wooden dialogue that undermines otherwise promising character work—is what holds this back from recommendation.
