Editorial Meh
My Days In Bel Air is a sandbox adult visual novel with a solid premise: explore a mansion, build relationships with five women, and unlock intimate scenes through dialogue choices and stat grinding. The graphics are competent—character models and 3D assets are genuinely attractive—and for players who enjoy slow-burn, player-driven narratives, the branching dialogue and freedom to pursue multiple routes simultaneously offer real appeal. However, the execution is severely hampered by extreme grinding, poor pacing, and abandoned development. Reaching story beats requires not just stat grinding but also time-gating: certain events lock to specific days and times, forcing players to simulate weeks of in-game time just to trigger a single scene. Money is mandatory for progression but difficult to earn until late-game quests unlock. The UI is confusing, dialogue options repeat uselessly, and the English translation is rough. Most critically, the game has received no updates in over a year and is widely reported as abandonware. For a completed build, the content quantity—roughly 6–8 hours to see all 42 scenes—is thin against the grind required. Fans of the genre who are patient, willing to use cheats, and buying deeply on sale may find value; everyone else should look elsewhere.
