Mutant College blends a superhero premise with adult content, delivering solid character writing and an engaging narrative that hooks players with meaningful choice and branching routes. The game's UI and sandbox design are praised as among the best in its genre, and the rendering quality is notably strong. However, the game suffers from persistent technical problems: game-breaking bugs that block progression (particularly with Lucy's quest line), broken quest flags that can permanently lock players out, dialogue errors (misgendering, Spanish text appearing randomly), and crashes on map access. Recent patches have addressed some issues, but reports indicate the fix has been slow and incomplete—some players are still stuck. The writing, while creative, has also degraded in recent patches with dialogue becoming increasingly stilted and detached, and repetitive grind becomes tedious mid-game. It's a game with real potential and evident developer commitment, but it needs substantial technical stabilization before it can be recommended without reservation.
