Editorial Meh
Manila Shaw: Aftermath is a DLC/sequel to the original Manila Shaw game, picking up from certain endings of the main title and continuing the story of its protagonist. Currently at version 0.2, it offers a small handful of scenes — reviewers count roughly three on the corruption route — with content centered on familiar characters and situations from the predecessor. Players on a "justice" playthrough reportedly find very little to engage with so far, while corruption-path fans get the bulk of what's available. One reviewer notes bluntly that the whole thing currently rests entirely on the reputation of its predecessor, which is a fair summary of the community mood: interest is largely goodwill carried over from the original rather than earned by this release itself. As a work-in-progress early build (v0.2), content is minimal and clearly incomplete. Several comments are simply questions about how to unlock scenes or whether content exists at all, which underscores how thin the current offering is. No significant bug reports appear, but the scarcity of actual gameplay means there is genuinely little to evaluate. Community feedback is shallow and mostly consists of questions rather than substantive impressions — a reliable sign the build isn't ready for a firm verdict.
