Making Lovers: First Blush is a romantic eroge visual novel from the team behind the original Making Lovers, following an audio technician who crosses paths with four heroines at a festival and commits to one from the very start — no harem route, just a focused romantic story per girl. Players appreciate the strong art and CGs, the nameable protagonist, some new soundtrack pieces, and the added perspective glimpses from the love interests. Sakurako in particular draws warm early praise. The R18 content is included out of the box with no patch needed. That said, community opinion is clearly divided on whether this sequel improves on its predecessor. The most consistent criticism is that the common route feels short and gives little time to get to know all four girls before committing, and several players feel the original game's heroines were stronger overall. A recurring note is that the sequel leans into more H-scenes per route, but some feel this comes at the expense of story and that the extra scenes are less impactful than the original's. One report of corrupted zip files on extraction and at least one launch issue suggest the build isn't perfectly clean for everyone, though most players appear to get it running without trouble.
