Editorial Meh
LUST Eternal is a wave-based FPS that wears its DOOM-parody premise proudly, dropping players into a hellish arena to mow down demon waves between hunts for unlockable adult scenes. The concept has genuine appeal for its target audience, and the visual style, demonic atmosphere, and Mick Gordon-adjacent soundtrack earn praise. The adult content itself — pre-rendered looping animations tied to collectible 'brain' pickups — is where the game disappoints most: scenes are short (a few seconds each), there are only nine to twelve of them across the whole game, and many players feel the quality doesn't match what the screenshots imply. Combat is repetitive, with a large open map ill-suited to arena-shooter logic, enemies that can spawn under the floor, poison damage that can end a run near-instantly, and weapons that feel underpowered. Still, the core concept functions and the niche it aims for is real. On the technical side, poor optimization is a persistent, widespread complaint — significant frame-rate drops with just a handful of enemies on screen affect players across hardware tiers. The key-rebinding system is broken (clearing an action leaves it unassignable), there is no meaningful save for weapon progress between sessions, and enemies frequently get stuck in geometry. These are recurring issues mentioned across many reviews, not isolated incidents. One directly comparable game (Lust'n'Dead, by the same developer) is cited repeatedly as doing more of the same things better, which is worth knowing before buying.
