Luna Odyssey is an abandoned adult RPG with improved visuals and a fresh setting compared to the developer's previous work, Ashley the Pirate. Players who enjoyed that game will find familiar mechanics and similar content structure here, though opinion is split on whether the new setting justifies another iteration. The game itself—before abandonment—earned praise for its art quality, music, and lack of forced NTR content; however, some criticized repetitive sexual scene composition and the developer's choice to launch this mid-development while still working on the previous title. The real story, though, is the abandonment: the developer deleted all social channels (Discord, Patreon, Subscribestar) last year, apparently using a payment-processor censorship scare as cover for an exit that may have been motivated by burnout rather than genuine threat. NSFW games have since returned to both Itch and Steam, leaving players frustrated that the project was abandoned prematurely. Unless you are deeply committed to the developer's style and have low expectations for completion, this is a solid skip—not because of weak creative work, but because there is no game left to play.
