Long Live the Catgirls is a lighthearted action game wrapped around a kinetic-narrative setup where you command cute cat characters through battles. The premise is charming—deceased domestic cats reincarnated as girls in a tower—but the story feels disjointed and under-explained, with pacing that leaves players confused about what's actually happening. Mechanically, it's closer to an auto-battler than true strategy, with balance issues that make certain characters (especially the demon cat) vastly overpowered and trivialize even boss fights. The bigger problem is technical: the gallery feature crashes the game consistently when opened, and it's the only way to view the final secret scene, making post-game content effectively inaccessible. Even with recent fixes, players report the gallery remains broken in various ways—showing only silhouettes, refusing to unlock, or crashing outright. Animations are basic and the overall polish is uneven. If the build stabilizes, there's a modest game here for fans of cute characters and relaxed combat, but right now the bugs and narrative roughness make it a frustrating experience.
