Editorial Meh
Kawaii Girl 2 is a short, lightweight action shooter that knows exactly what it is: a casual, adult-oriented pixel-art game designed for quick play sessions rather than deep engagement. It delivers straightforward top-down combat, colorful visuals, and unlockable adult content, and for players seeking exactly that—a few hours of low-stakes fun with fanservice—it does the job competently. However, the game is hamstrung by significant structural problems. The most damning issue: it recycles roughly 70% of content from the first game while doubling the price, a move many players rightly resent. Beyond that, the build is rough: save corruption if Windows regional settings aren't set to Simplified Chinese, frequent crashes, missing UI (no key rebinding, no in-game settings menu), broken achievements, and poor localization (Korean text missing entirely in some regions). The gameplay itself—click to attack, collect minerals, upgrade weapons—is functional but grows repetitive within an hour or two. The art is inconsistent (some pixel work is charming; some is lazy), and audio design is notably weak. Most damaging: players with a save file from part 1 cannot progress past completed levels due to a game-breaking bug. For a title asking for money, this level of technical neglect is unacceptable.
