Editorial Has potential
Jack Hunter shows genuine promise as a sandbox adventure with character depth and branching systems, but the current build is frustratingly rough. The community praises the social mechanics, character writing, and potential—particularly Frank, a standout favorite—yet consensus points to serious technical and UX friction: quests lack clear guidance (players report needing external guides), the quest system doesn't auto-advance time properly, UI bugs scatter character names and dialogue inconsistencies (AI-generated text showing signs of poor QA), mini-games are broken (Minesweeper resets every 5 seconds), and many scenes feel unpolished. The most divisive topic is the game's NTR-adjacent content: several female love interests have sex with other characters, which players either want completely disabled in one setting or avoid frame-by-frame. This is legitimate contentious design, not a quality flaw—but the dev has not yet settled how it will work. For early access at v0.3, the bones are strong; the execution needs serious work before a wider audience should jump in.
