Editorial Meh
Isekai Chan borrows heavily from Agent 17's UI and systems—a comparison some players welcome as a more focused alternative, others see as derivative. The creative core is solid: decent story, likeable characters, and competent animation draw players in. However, the game is hamstrung by grinding (affection, resources) and unskippable minigames (fishing, math puzzles) that frustrate rather than engage, and some quest markers fail to clear properly. The MTL is surprisingly readable. Community opinion splits between "fine but flawed" (6.5/10 range) and "good game ruined by padding"—those who tolerate the grind find it playable; those who don't will bounce hard. Technical issues are scattered: language defaults to Thai on first launch, Linux and Mac builds are absent, and save corruption has hit some players on old saves.
