Indecent Desires aims for a choice-driven adult visual novel with life-simulation mechanics, character relationships, and branching narratives—an ambition that lands well with its enthusiast audience. Several reviewers praise the writing's exploration of temptation and control, the character work, and the replayability; the art and animations are consistently noted as appealing for an indie title. However, the game is severely hampered by its early-access limbo: it has been in active development for six years with sparse updates (version 0.29 on Steam as of February 2026, while newer versions exist elsewhere), leaving many players frustrated and feeling abandoned. Beyond the slow development cycle, the current build suffers from widespread technical problems—game-breaking bugs that halt progression, crashes, unresponsive hints, and save corruption—making it difficult to play reliably.
