Editorial Has potential
Incel Server is a darkly comedic dating sim that leans into absurdist humor and shock value—players praise its witty script, character design, and the genuine surprise of being able to tease and romance the cast despite the edgy premise. The game nails the tone it's going for, with most who stick past the initial incel-server framing reporting genuine attachment to characters like Raven, Nick, and Tyler. However, the demo is unfinished and rough around the edges: save-file corruption, script-loading bugs, UI inconsistencies (missing image labels), and voice acting that pulls players out of the experience are documented issues. The Spanish translation also needs work on chan-specific terminology. Most critically for some, the game uses AI-generated art throughout—the developer has acknowledged this is a barrier for players and set up a Ko-Fi to crowdfund hand-drawn replacements, but no timeline exists yet. If you can stomach the niche subject matter and rough build state, the core writing and character work deliver on their premise; if you want polish or are opposed to AI art, wait for the full version or skip.
