Editorial Has potential
InBetween is a compact, emotionally direct visual novel about a man reconnecting with life through an amusement park encounter. The writing lands—players praise the humor, the art's nostalgic charm, and a central theme about depression and self-worth that resonates genuinely. The MC's introspection can feel heavy-handed, and some mechanical choices (coins, ride transitions, unclear prompts) interrupt pacing, but the core story and character work are solid enough to carry a short demo. Community feedback skews positive on the creative side, though divided on content scope: some want clearer tagging around lesbian characters and sexual content intensity, and several flagged the "senior year of high school" setup as ambiguous about character ages—a concern the dev should address plainly in documentation. The current build is rough: a crash on title-screen exit is confirmed, audio sliders don't properly sync, and some players hit install/platform friction. These are fixable teething pains for a early demo, not game-breaking, but they muddy an otherwise worthwhile creative debut. The dev is active, responsive, and working full-time elsewhere, so updates will be gradual.
