Editorial Has potential
Idols of Love is a character-driven management game where players build relationships with idol streamers through dialogue choices and stream moderation. The community consistently praises the distinctive character personalities, appealing art style, and well-designed idols—players describe them as having genuine depth rather than generic archetypes. The core gameplay loop of streaming and dating is engaging enough to carry the experience for 2–4 hours. However, the build is plagued by progression roadblocks and inconsistent functionality. Multiple players report softlocks when they can't access idol rooms despite meeting stated requirements, invisible clickable UI elements (toolbox, sex-scene buttons), and dialogue bugs where correct answers are marked wrong. Audio doesn't work for some players; crashes have been reported on certain desktop items. The dev is currently on hiatus for health reasons, leaving these issues unresolved. For a completed release, this is rougher than it should be—the creative work is solid, but the current build needs stability fixes before it's reliably playable.
