Editorial Worth it
I Walk Among Zombies Vol. 1 is a visual novel that leans heavily into erotic content within a zombie-apocalypse setting. The story follows an immune protagonist navigating a post-outbreak world, with strong character moments—particularly the arc of the female lead from resistance to attachment—and atmospheric world-building that explores moral questions about survival and human nature. Visually, the art and voice acting are solid; the writing is concise and psychologically engaging. However, the experience is explicitly short (around 2 hours), consists entirely of linear narrative with no branching choices, and relies solely on static CGs rather than animation. Most significantly, player consensus splits sharply on value: some find it a compelling, well-crafted entry in its niche; others see it as a brief, pricey cash-in on a light-novel property whose source material was abandoned mid-story, leaving threads unresolved. The game succeeds as intended erotic fiction, but offers limited replay value or narrative closure.
