Hypnosis App 2 is a 3D hypnosis/NTR sandbox with interactive camera work, but the community's reaction is decidedly lukewarm. The main creative criticism is that the female protagonist is considered the blandest in the series — reviewers note she is nearly a copy of the previous game's character, who was herself already considered inferior to the original, with an identical body type and only a minor hair-color change. The gameplay loop is described as repetitive and shallow, and at least one reviewer felt it was worth no more than 30 minutes before being forgotten. Content-wise, some players noted the absence of certain expected scene types. On the plus side, the interactive hypnosis scenarios have their fans, and the series clearly has a niche following. The build is a genuine mess right now. A widespread and persistent bug causes the story mode to hang on a loading screen after the train/restroom stage, affecting users across multiple versions (v1.016–1.019) and hardware configurations. The community's best workaround — changing the system date to April and going offline — is a workaround born of desperation, not a fix, and it only partially helps. There are also launch issues requiring the use of a specific launcher, crash-on-relaunch bugs, and reports of volume levels that can damage hearing at default settings. Heavy-handed DRM appears to be at the root of many of these problems, frustrating even paying fans.
