Hotel Succession presents an ambitious premise with a black male protagonist—a rarity in adult games—and shows genuine effort in character design and atmospheric rendering. The best static scenes (lobby, hotel room lighting in chapters 35–37) demonstrate solid technical potential, and players appreciate that the cast avoids recycled archetypes. However, the current build is rough across the board: animations loop awkwardly or lose quality compared to surrounding stills, transitions are abrupt, image quality is grainy, writing needs proofreading, and the UI has visible oversights (white text contrast issues, poorly designed computer interface). More critically, Chapter 1 is very short and ends abruptly in an office with no navigation or agency—it reads more like a prologue, leaving players confused about what they've actually completed. A removed sexual-assault scene and the inability to customize the MC's name compound immersion issues. The core creative work has promise and the representation matters to its audience, but the execution is unfinished and the content is too sparse to judge as a full chapter.
