Editorial Has potential
Homecoming is an NTS/NTR-adjacent visual novel making its early debut with strong artistic polish — reviewers consistently praise the character art (rendered in what fans call the 'Mancine style') and find the cast's personalities appealing. The writing shows ambition, and the developer is notably communicative, engaging openly with the community about design decisions. The core content — a shared-relationship dynamic that is partially fixed and partially optional — divides the audience cleanly along taste lines rather than quality lines: players who enjoy the genre are enthusiastic, while others bow out gracefully once they understand the setup. The game is early in development, with Chapter 1 still in progress at the time of these reviews, so there is very little content to play through yet. The developer has been wrestling publicly with how to implement a choice system — whether scenes are avoidable, how far each can go, and whether full branching is feasible — and the current build reflects that ongoing process. Feedback on the existing content is thin but positive in tone; the main honest caveat is that this is a promising start with most of its story still ahead of it.
