Editorial Has potential
Hermione's Shop is a corruption-themed progression game with solid character writing and a satisfying core loop of potion-brewing and customer interaction. Players consistently praise the narrative pacing, character development, and the escalating nature of Hermione's corruption—the slow-burn setup works well for its audience. However, the game suffers from a notable mechanical flaw: the incentive structure actively discourages the lewd content it's narratively building toward. Flirting with customers yields lower total earnings than simply resting and brewing excellent potions, which contradicts both the story (that tips from flirtation help pay the loan) and the game's own premise. Several reviews propose solutions, most suggesting the ability to rest, brew, and then flirt before handing over the potion. The build itself is playable and largely stable, though some players report performance issues on certain platforms (especially Android, where load times between actions are extremely slow), and a handful of minor bugs exist (missing bed image, language button not cycling properly). For its intended audience—those who enjoy slow-burn corruption and character-driven adult games—this is worth playing despite the mechanical friction; the content is well-crafted and the dev is actively developing. Just be aware the current version leaves some content incomplete and the pacing incentives need work.
