Heatwave: Sam's Story is an ongoing story-driven visual novel following Sam during his final summer before college. When Sam unexpectedly ends up staying at Michael's house—his mother's ex-boyfriend whom he hasn't seen in over a decade—a short visit becomes complicated as old resentment gives way to unexpected curiosity. As he meets a cast of charming men and navigates unfamiliar feelings, Sam embarks on a journey of self-discovery, exploring what he truly desires. The game is built around player choice, allowing decisions to shape Sam's conversations, relationships, and the intimate moments he experiences. The narrative unfolds through over 2000 detailed CG renders and animated sequences, depicting realistic expressions and steamy encounters. The game also features side activities like chatting with men on a dating app called Findr and discovering hidden story elements scattered throughout the world, gradually revealing more about the town and its inhabitants.
