Editorial Meh
Harem Camp is a sandbox management game centered on recruiting and developing relationships with a camp full of women through stat-building and gift-giving. Players appreciate the core premise and character designs, with some praising it as "a must play" once they understand the systems. However, the game suffers from severe usability problems that actively frustrate players: the building-upgrade menu is hidden and poorly signposted (multiple reviewers spent hours searching for it), the inventory system lacks scrollbars making it nearly impossible to gift items, and the shop is fragmented across five separate stores. The question-asking and progression systems feel opaque—upgrade points appear to award randomly, and girls answer only three questions before relocating unpredictably. Compounding these issues, the current build is unstable: crashes when accessing girl stats, corrupted graphics on some installs, missing NPC spawns on certain playthroughs, and game-breaking errors mid-scene. A small core audience finds fun beneath the rough surface, but for most, the combination of confusing design and technical problems makes it more frustrating than engaging.
