Editorial Don't bother
Girlfriends in Outer Worlds is an early-stage adult visual novel that relies entirely on AI-generated imagery. The game has attracted strong criticism for technical quality: reviewers consistently flag poor anatomy (misaligned hands, inconsistent proportions), a lack of meaningful plot or dialogue, and sparse actual gameplay—described by some as a "slideshow" rather than an interactive experience. The writing shows basic spelling and grammar errors. On the creative side, there is little consensus yet; the project is too underdeveloped for players to assess whether its core premise will land. Some players appreciate the harem concept and are willing to wait for development; others see AI art as inherently lazy and have written it off. Community sentiment is divided between cautious optimism ("I'll wait") and dismissal, though the former seems driven more by patience than enthusiasm. The current build is functionally rough. Beyond the art issues, there are install problems on Android, a non-functional text-box UI element, and the game reads as incomplete—essentially a proof of concept with scattered sex scenes and no story scaffold. Most critically, the dev appears inactive (users speculate an "Abandoned" tag is coming), and recent comments are largely off-topic chatter or unanswered questions. If you are curious about the premise, check back in six months; right now there is very little here.
