Editorial Meh
Endless Forest Dream is a bullet-hell roguelite built around monster/alien H-content—tentacles, oviposition, yuri, and futa—with full voice acting and a decent lineup of static CGs and pixel defeat animations. Reviewers largely agree the art holds up for its niche and the core shooting loop is serviceable, with an invincible dodge and enough weapon variety to keep early runs interesting. The decisive creative weakness, however, is the abrupt non-ending: after three levels there is no conclusion, no cutscene, no payoff—leaving the story feeling like an abandoned prototype. Meta-progression is paper-thin, most weapons beyond the starter pistol underperform, and there is no proper gallery or H-scene skip, making the content awkward to revisit. On the technical side, the game has real rough edges: persistent screen shake causes motion sickness for some players, frame drops occur on shooting, reload inputs glitch regularly, and the volume slider resets each BGM loop. Crashes have been reported. The developer appears inactive since late 2024 with no further updates expected, so these issues are unlikely to be addressed. Worth a discounted purchase for players who are specifically into the alien/tentacle theme and can tolerate a shallow, unfinished package; others will find it frustrating.
