Editorial Has potential
Echoes of 2990 arrives with genuinely impressive production values — reviewers consistently praise the render quality, animations, soundtrack, and writing, with some placing it alongside the highest-regarded AVNs in the genre. The cast is diverse and the worldbuilding ambitious, and there is clear enthusiasm from players who have gotten through the available content. Content-fit debates are loud but cancel each other out: some players want NTR or MMF, others are firmly opposed; some want the f/f toggle, others don't — these are preference splits, not quality verdicts, and the developer has been transparent about the game's direction. The bigger concern is development momentum. The game is only two chapters in, yet Chapter 1 has already been remade twice, Chapter 2's script was fully rewritten, and all of Amina's renders were redone — all while Chapter 3 remains unreleased many months after Chapter 2 dropped. The community is visibly frustrated that rework cycles keep pushing new content back, and a few have begun to question whether the project will sustain. For those who can play what exists, the creative work itself is strong; the worry is entirely about whether the next chapter will ever arrive.
