Editorial Meh
Dripping Hearts is a narrative-driven exploration game built around COVID-era isolation and reconnection, grounded in what players feel is genuine emotional experience. The core premise and audio design earn genuine interest, but the current build suffers from significant structural problems: scene sequencing breaks (the game jumps backward after exploration), unclear dialogue attribution in NSFW scenes, continuity gaps after key story moments, and inconsistent lighting that undercuts immersion. Beyond bugs, the NSFW writing tends toward erotica-style description rather than natural speech, and some sprite-dialogue mismatches (a character's pose not matching what she's saying) pull at immersion. The developer is actively responsive to detailed feedback and has committed fixes to the next update, but right now the experience feels mid-development—playable, but unpolished enough that story beats don't land cleanly. Community feedback is modest and divided between genuine appreciation for the premise and concerns about artwork sourcing.
