Dreams of Amelia is a sandbox/visual-novel hybrid focused on intimate interaction with a dark, rebellious character. Players consistently praise the voice acting, character design, detailed animations, and the writing's hook—especially Amelia's sharp personality. However, the full version has disappointed many: the sandbox mechanics are surprisingly shallow (only five vanilla positions, depth-of-penetration locked, no male-climax animation), customization is sparse despite demo promises, and the story mode is thin. A recent buyer reported the full game is "effectively almost the exact same as the demo" and felt abandoned by the developer. The demo itself frustrates players with mandatory space-bar holding after every dialogue and an annoying click sound; some face a persistent purple-screen bug that blocks play entirely.
