Editorial Has potential
Dreamer Echoes presents a curious setting with likeable, fun characters and notably engaging storytelling that drops players into an unfolding mystery rather than dumping exposition upfront. The presentation is solid—art, writing, and character work are competent—and the sex scenes shown so far are well-executed, though actual full scenes remain sparse. However, the game is heavily railroaded with minimal player agency, and the current build has real technical rough edges: floating sprites during freeroam, dialogue boxes that fail to clear and freeze progression, and scenes that can trigger out of order if the player explores naturally. The tone is distinctive (a mentally scattered, always-hungry protagonist; sex scenes focusing on unwitting participants) and will appeal strongly to some players while leaving others cold. Community feedback is divided on content direction—there's vocal interest in gay/femdom content alongside players seeking other directions—and some uncertainty about planned scope (combat, meaningful choices, specific kinks). A promising foundation, but needs technical polish and clearer communication about where the game is heading.
