Editorial Meh
Disaster is a stat-building adult game with an ambitious scope—multiple characters, locations, and mechanics—but the current build is severely hampered by technical failures and incomplete design. Media files fail to play across the board (videos show grey screens despite working files; audio is absent), character encounters trigger out of order, save systems corrupt after a few days, and basic UI elements are non-functional or missing (unclickable buttons, unclear schedules, confusing event logic). The community is divided: some genuinely engaged players appreciate the dev's responsiveness and the breadth of content being added, but the game is effectively unplayable for many in its present state. Even those willing to work around bugs report that design issues—stats too easy to raise, repetitive university content, poorly integrated character routes—undermine the experience. This is early-stage work with promise, but needs substantial technical and design fixes before it's ready for a wider audience.
