Editorial Has potential
Dauntless captures the spirit of beloved early-2000s RAGS games with a superheroine-corruption premise and solid writing that genuinely delights players who connect with that nostalgia. However, the current build is severely hampered by widespread bugs — infinite stat loops in exploration events, broken images, blank-box soft-locks, and missing UI (players cannot track Heroism, Relationship Scores, or Crit Chance). The wardrobe system, while thematic, creates exhausting friction: players report changing outfits 8+ times per in-game day across 32 days, turning routine navigation into tedium. Chapter 2 feedback is mixed; some praise the content itself, others find the pacing grindy and the corruption-gating mechanic restrictive. The game has real merit for its intended audience, but cannot deliver on it until technical stability and UX clarity improve.
