Daiakuji

Rance is a strategy and management game set in a war-torn fantasy world where the female-dominated western nation of Wime has conquered the male-dominated eastern nation of Nihon. You play as Yamamoto Akuji, a nobleman and war prisoner who returns home to find his family's business seized and his position stripped away. After a brutal beating, Akuji falls into the custody of a small patrol group, which he quickly subdues to establish a foothold for his own ambitions. The game follows Akuji's rise to power as he schemes, manipulates, and dominates his way toward reclaiming his birthright and controlling Osaka. Gameplay combines strategic management, resource allocation, and character interactions as the protagonist pursues his goals through manipulation and force.
