Code: Pandora 2 is a cyberpunk side-scrolling action/visual novel hybrid from Towndarktales, and loyal fans of the studio show up in force — most rated buyers praise the detailed, fluid CG artwork, moody electronic soundtrack, and a surprisingly generous branching structure with six distinct endings. The game's stylised aesthetic and the continuing adventures of protagonist Dripli clearly land for the audience that has followed the developer across multiple titles. Content-preference disputes do surface: some players wish the CG count were weighted more toward the main character rather than split with supporting cast members Lika and Chelsea, but this is a matter of taste rather than execution. The recurring criticism, however, is hard to ignore: almost every negative review — in English, Russian, Chinese, Korean, and Japanese — zeroes in on the same design problem. The shift from the first game's linear level layout to a more open, multi-path structure, combined with sparse in-game guidance, leaves many players genuinely lost. Reviewers describe wandering aimlessly, running out of ammo with no resupply cue, and needing community walkthroughs just to reach most endings. A handful also flag a difficult-to-read UI (light text on a near-white background) and one reported GPU crash. That said, the build is a complete, shipped release with a DLC already out, and technical failures appear isolated rather than widespread — most players get through the game, just with friction.
