Circumstances

Circumstances is a choice-driven adult visual novel following a male protagonist with a troubled past. The story begins when he is pulled back from despair by a young girl named Carrie, and they form a deep bond. After a six-year time skip, the protagonist has grown into adulthood and becomes entangled in uncovering what happened to Carrie while meeting new characters whose lives intersect with his own.
