Castle of Vice is an early-access ero-action game with combat and progression systems tied to sexual mechanics and the protagonist's evolving attitude. Community reception is divided: players praise the art, voice acting, and creative stat/attitude system, with genuine enthusiasm for the game's direction toward new enemy types and mechanics. However, significant frustration centers on game balance—particularly one enemy mob with a damage-scaling exploit that can one-shot the player despite full health—and the build's stability issues (button unresponsiveness, balance patches and hotfixes arriving frequently). The roadmap shows ambition (new enemy types, additional scenes, skill variety), but the current alpha remains unfinished and balance-troubled; dedicated fans are willing to work around these problems, while newcomers may find the balance spike and rough edges discouraging.
Description
Silverhold Castle, a legendary stronghold, has fallen to the profane miasma—a sentient, otherworldly force that corrupts reality and devours souls. A holy coalition of paladins, clerics, and acolytes assembles to reclaim it. Sister Annelise, a cleric of the god Serion, is sent to scout ahead, but becomes trapped inside the corrupted castle, cut off from her allies.
Navigate haunted halls, confront the cult that now inhabits the fortress, and resist the miasma's insidious influence on body, mind, and spirit. The game combines turn-based combat against 14+ enemy types with exploration and a corruption system that tracks Annelise's moral and physical degradation. Her attitudes—Rejection, Resignation, or Indifference—shape how she responds to the castle's temptations and determine her fate.
With 46 skills, multiple character classes, potions, and items to discover, each playthrough offers different tactical and narrative choices. Will Annelise maintain her sacred vow of celibacy, or succumb to the darkness within Silverhold?
